Peace

“Peace” is a look into my spirituality, detailing the moment I realized that I was in control of my destiny. Figure 1.1 was inspired by the song Photosynthesis by Saba, specifically the lyric “How you lonely in a room with God?”, as it always stuck with me. Figure 1.2 uses a lunar cycle to represent my feelings of being stuck in a cycle of emotions, and never truly achieving freedom. In Figures 1.3 and 1.4, which show a solar eclipse from two different perspectives, I finally gain control and I realize that I am “god” (defined in this piece as “the author of my destiny”). I used the alignment of these three celestial bodies during a solar eclipse as a way of showing how we feel when things come together, representing a feeling of control.
